What’s Up in the Sky? June 2025

June’s Evening Planets:

Red Mars will be in Leo the Lion until 1 AM, and will set earlier each night, setting around 11 PM by the end of the month. Mercury will be between Gemini, the Twins, and Cancer, the Crab, until 10 PM in the second half of the month. Find Jupiter between Taurus the Bull and Gemini the Twins until 9 PM in the first week of June. Saturn will be in Pisces, the Fish, as of 2 AM and will rise earlier each night, reaching midnight by the end of the month.

June’s Evening Stars:

Spot the Summer Triangle of Vega in Lyra the Harp, Deneb in Cygnus the Swan, and Altair in Aquila the Eagle. Look for reddish Antares in Scorpius the Scorpion, Arcturus in Bootes the Herdsman, Spica in Virgo the Maiden, along with the stars of constellations Lyra, Hercules, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Libra, Leo, Cepheus, Ophiuchus, Cassiopeia, Draco, and Ursa Major and Ursa Minor (the Big and Little Dippers).

June’s Morning Planets:

Bright Venus will be up as of 3 AM, moving between Pisces the Fish and Taurus the Bull throughout June. Saturn is in Pisces, the Fish, until sunrise. night. Uranus will be in Taurus, the Bull, as of 5 AM and rising earlier every morning. Neptune is in Pisces, the Fish, as of 2 AM and rising earlier every morning. Dwarf Pluto will be between Sagittarius the Archer and Capricornus the Sea-Goat until morning.
