Join the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA) for a double-header of the ages – for the first time ever, we will have solar observing for the annular eclipse with stargazing to follow later that evening on October 14, 2023 for the 2023 Autumn Starfest!
New York City will have a 22% partial eclipse, so join us for solar observing from 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM, at Bethesda Fountain! Solar telescopes will be on hand to enjoy this event. The eclipse is weather permitting without the possibility of rescheduling.
Then later, between 7 PM – 10 PM, join us at East Meadow where AAA volunteers will offer views of Jupiter, Saturn, and other objects through telescopes. Our guest speaker will be Janna Levin of Columbia University. Stargazing is weather permitting, with a rain date for October 15.
