AAA’s new Gateway Remote Telescope (GRT) sits atop a 6,000-foot mountain neighboring the famous McDonald Observatory in the dark skies of West Texas, USA!
Using cutting-edge NINA technology, specially trained AAA members here in NYC remotely operate this amazing new telescope system!
Ranging from novice to expert, there are four levels of participation from free to fee-based, allowing club members to observe, photograph, and explore amazing deep sky objects (DSOs) live-streamed from the cosmos that are all but impossible to see from our light-polluted Northeast region.
In this inaugural one-hour presentation, you’ll enjoy new imagery, a lecture/demonstration led by prominent club experts, and download some amazing deep sky photographs to your smart phone for your personal enjoyment!
