Join Science Friday along with the Amateur Astronomers Association for some stargazing at the future location of the New York City Public Observatory in Jerome Park!
- When: Saturday, December 10 from 5:00-7:00pm
- Where: Jerome Park, between Harris Park and the Jerome Park Reservoir
- Tickets: Get your FREE tickets here.
We’ll be on site with telescopes, hot cocoa, and lots of space lovers—including Dr. Moiya McTier, astronomer, folklorist and author of the SciFri Book Club’s December read, The Milky Way: An Autobiography of Our Galaxy. We’re gathering not just to look in wonder at the stars together, but to tell locals all about AAA’s efforts to bring NYC’s first public observatory to the park. Join in to stargaze and storytell with us!
